Welcome! Want to know what takes place following Christ’s second appearance?
Discover 65+ Bible texts about His new “Kingdom of glory” established after His second coming. (Matthew 25:31, 32). They describe its nature and timing.
This kingdom is yet in the future. We learn of it from Scripture’s “sure word of prophecy”. (2 Peter 1:19).
The Son of God receives the throne of this kingdom from the “Ancient of days”- God the Father. (Daniel 7:13, 14).
Furthermore, Christ receives the “New Jerusalem”, the new earth’s capital of His kingdom – “prepared as a bride adorned for her husband”. (Revelation 21:2).
And the “saints of God” will inherit this kingdom “prepared from the foundation of the world”. (Mathew 25:34). For them this is the beginning of eternal life with God and His Son. (Matthew 25:46).
They are blessed, having that “right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city”. Revelation 22:14.
So, when the Son of man comes, the righteous dead are raised incorruptible by Him. He changes the living righteous to incorruptible state too. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).
By this great change the both groups are prepared to receive the glorious kingdom. No one in the present mortal and corruptible state can enter the new kingdom. (1 Corinthians 15: 48-50).
The “New Jerusalem” descends to earth from Heaven after the 1000 years of judgment. (Daniel 7:22, 26; Revelation 20:4-7, 21:2).
It marks the beginning of the glorious kingdom on earth, where God made all things new. (Daniel 7:27).

The Book of Psalms
Psalm 45:6
Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever. The sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Psalm 103:19
The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens. And His kingdom ruleth over all.
The Book of Isaiah
Isaiah 9:7
Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom.
To order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
The Book of Daniel
Daniel 7:13, 14
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him.
And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Daniel 7:21, 22
I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them.
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High. And the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
Daniel 7:26, 27
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.

The Book of Matthew
Matthew 19:28
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Matthew 25:31-40
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of His glory.
Before him shall be gathered all nations. And he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.
He shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat. I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in.
Naked, and ye clothed me. I was sick, and ye visited me. I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
The Book of Luke
Luken21:31, 34, 36
When ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day comes upon you unawares.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 22:29, 30
And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me.
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
The Book of Acts
Acts 2:34-36
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
The Book of 1 Corinthians
1 Corinthians 15:48-50
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy. And as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. either doth corruption inherit incorruption.
The Book of 1 Thessalonians
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God.
And the dead in Christ shall rise first.
Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.
And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
The Book of Hebrews
Hebrews 1:8-14
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity. Therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.

The Book of Revelation
Revelation 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne.
Revelation 5:9, 10, 12
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof.
For thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Revelation 11:15-18
And the seventh angel sounded. And there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ.
And he shall reign forever and ever.
And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God.
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come. Because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great.
And shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Revelation 19:11-21
I (John) saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse. And he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns.
And he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood. And his name is called The Word of God.
The armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations. He shall rule them with a rod of iron. He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God.
That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army.
The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth. And all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Revelation 21:1-7
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. For the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things. And I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 22:12-14
And, behold, I come quickly. And my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
In conclusion
The Bible narrates clearly that Christ’s “Kingdom of glory” will not take place until His second coming. Then His people are changed to an immortal state at His personal advent to the world.
Thus they are fit to receive the kingdom. Moreover, their eternal life with God and His Son begins, where all things are made new.
